(I sang this song at last night DAP's organised MoonC)ake festival in Paramount hotel, Sibu amist the laughter of hundreds of people.
The following "song" was composed by myself with the assistance of my party's comrades like Fong PT and Lau Hui Ung.It was not so much a song as i can't even sing in the first place, so i "borrow" the idea and quite a few phases from Namewee's Negarakuku and i have to express my thanks to him or else i would not have any idea at all as to how to compose a song.
The difference between me and Wee is that i am a politician while he is a student and it could be found in the content of Negarakuku and "My Song". Both songs revealed the present state of affair in the country although mine revealed the figures to prove the points in Negarakuku.
"My Song" main theme is the mis-managemnent of the country such as corruption and the BN's race-based policies such as the Ketuanan Melayau and the NEP and the educational policies that not only caused racial tension but also hamper the economy and development of the country.
"My Song" also tell us why we are where we are and how the chinese-based parties like the SUPP and the MCA "kow-tou" or lower themselves and the chinese community that they represented. They 3 main characters were also highlighted in the song and how they bow to the wishes of the UMNO.
"My Song" ends with the call for all the Malaysian to stand up for their own rights and not let the political parties manipulate them into believing that all is fine in the country. My earlier article "There is something rotten in the state of Malaysia" was highlighted as well.The Sarawakian dilemmas were also hightlighted as only a Sarawakian can.
I must say song writting is not an easy job and i am proud that we managed to compose "My Song" within a few hours. We would appreciate if someone with the song-writting background could come forward to refine "My Song" into a real folk song.

malaysia bn is rotten from inside out and the people are shutting their eyes and their mind to all these as if nothing happened.
"My Song" represents every Malaysian and is rightly named as "My Song"! This is the song everyone should sing their heart out and let the rotten government knows how we feel about our beloved country.
We need more songs like this so that people to touch the hearts of the people and maybe they will wait up suddenly to the call of the country.

How come no newspapers ever mention about the song which was sang by david wong and lau hui ung on last saturday nite? because it strikes the nerve of the bn and the papers would not dare to even mention that such a song was composed and sang by the dap?
i especially like the final paragragh because it is the 'wake-up' call for all to make a difference and the clear message that knowing is not enough.so let us rise to this challenge and do something for us, our kids and our country.
Please get Wee (who sang Negaraku) who is studying in Taiwan to sing and record your "My song" and post it on U Tube.

A song well composed with 5 major issues being the main themes.
1) We love the country but we are not 'equal' in our own country.
2) The problems of Sarawak well highlighted as the case of the Sarawak Land Code.
3)The federal issues such as Ketuanan Melayu or the Special Rights of the Malays. The corruption and the Auditor-general reports were highlighted. The Chinese being sidelined in every field were well decribed.
4)The Chinese-based parties like MCA and the SUPP 'kowtou' to the UMNO and their 'uselessness' in the parliament and
5)The wake-up call by the composer
Although not a song by professional standard but it shows the heart of a true politician!!
