It is the tip of the iceberg!
A shame to the Malaysian government, especially the Chinese community
Health Minister Dr Chua Soi Lek who is also MCA vice-president admitted he was the "actor" in the sex video but refused to resign as the health minister and said "I serve at the pleasure of the prime minister, I will not allow (other) people to jeopardise or obstruct my duties."
He further accused the whole despicable episode as a " conspiracy within the party(MCA)" as if he was the victim of the whole episode of lust and infidelity. What he did not say was "many politicians are in my same league" and "they are just lucky that they were not caught on tape like me".
Dr. Chua should had resigned immediately after the incident as it was the only "right" thing to do. His initial refusal to resign indicated a man of with no remorse and a politician without integrity. And for this reason alone, he does not deserve "a grain" sympathy if you will.
The BN government and the whole country on International spotlight
The sex video had tarnished the name of the country and in particular the Chinese community as the news was broadcast in many countries. The PM must apologised to the whole country as Dr. Chua, as the health minister is a member of the Malaysian government Cabinet. We normally consider "Collective responsibility" of the Cabinet while talking about their decision but that goes as well to the government's "integrity and honour" as well.
Our sympathy is with his family
But our sympathy do go to his wife and children who are deeply hurt his act. His wife had earlier released a press statement today supporting his embattled husband in the wake of the sex video scandal.
She said “He has been a good husband, father and family man who have never shirked his responsibilities. But that statement was discounted 100% by everyone no matter how.
Bad Omen for the MCA and the BN
The scandal welcomed Malaysian into 2008 and this sure isn't a good start for the BN and MCA, a bad Omen indeed!
The Malaysian poll is expected to be called soon and the BN will be seriously tested in many areas of its failed administrations. The people are waiting for the day to come, and actually they can't wait any longer. So, Abdullah, please let it comes.

David, you are 100% right about this man. Look at the following words by him as reported by Malaysiakini!
Today, flanked by his supporters from Johor, a calm Chua said that he arrived as the decision to resign because “the rakyat wants me to resign”.
He said that he was disappointed that the people have adopted a holier-than-thou attitude in the matter.
“I thought that by my admission of my involvement, the people would forgive me. But I thought wrong,” Dr. Chua said.
“I won't be the first and I won't be the last (politician to be caught in such a situation).”
"It is up to the public to judge me," Dr. Chua added.
See the "real man" in him? he was full of rage and accused others for his own "act".

He was so proud about his sex video that he invited the reporters to watch it with him. What a character!!

Defiant to the last, Chua drew a line between his public and private life, refusing to comment on the incident portrayed in the tape.
"If you want to discuss my private life, please do," he told reporters at his press conference. "Maybe you would like to watch the videotape with me."
I read the same issue in other blogs.
Dato Dr Chua Soi Lek looks strict, talks no nonsense and acts as professional as how a professional should act. If he has chosen another path, I expect he would specialize in surgery. But it was not to be because he has chosen the path of politics. He has the right looks of one who can make it to the top and he did. Therefore looks is very important. Wearing a jacket makes you look cleverer.
Moral wrongdoings among the politicians are not at the tip of the iceberg. Dato Dr Chua said that many politicians are in his league and they are just lucky that they were not caught on tape like him. It is not luck. It is a planned action. Whoever who is involved knew about it.
Integrity and honour are some of life's principles. Even though Dato Dr Chua has the courage to bare it all and he said he will serve at the pleasure of the prime minister, he seems to have forgotten the meaning of principles. He should know that it takes integrity and honour to govern a country properly.
We could speculate who this personal friend is. May be even a second wife but without any legal binding because he can only have one legal wife. I watched the tape and strangely I watched a man standing at the side of the bed as if this was his first time and he was kind of staring, kind of thinking, kind of lost, kind of wanting some more or may be kind of guilty. The lady was helping herself to her pants like she knew the tricks of her trade. Was he under the influence of spiked drugs ? Was he hypnotized ? Was there some form of mind control that turned him into another person ? Remember this incident happenned two years ago.
Indeed, he has a very good supportive wife like Hillary Clinton. She is helping to make the news less ugly. He has to use all that he knows of to make this public statement. It is worse than being in a confession box confessing your sins to the priest.
At the end of the day, Dato Ong Kah Ting said that this incident happenned because of internal conflicts in the MCA. There is one saying by Sun-tzu, a Chinese general and military strategist in the 400 BC. Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.
WE DO NOT THINK WE ARE BEING HARSH ON HIM BECAUSE HE SHOULD KNOW THAT AS A POLITICAL LEADER HE WOULD BE JUDGED DIFFERENTLY FROM THE ORDINARY LAYMAN.
IF HE CAN GET AWAY FROM THIS, THEN IT WILL SET A PRECEDENT FOR THE OTHER POLITICIANS AND THAT WOULD HAVE A DIRE CONSEQUENCE ON THE COUNTRY.
HE WAS LUCKY TO HAVE A VERY SUPPORTIVE FAMILY AND HE SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT HE WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY BY THE PEOPLE TO REPRESENT THEM.
THE PILL MAY BE BITTER, BUT THE GOOD DOCTOR SAYS "YOU HAVE TO SWALLOW IT" PERIOD.
PHYSICIAN
Dear Physician and Mr David Wong,
Let me quote " If he can get away from this, then it will set a precedent for the other politicians and that would have a dire consequence on the country ". You should turn this statement the other way round. Dato Dr Chua's wife testified that he is a good man. Somewhere along his political journey, the influence of his fellow politicians changed his once wholesome thoughts. He fell and it was not just recently he fell. He could have fell when he was just an ordinary MCA political member. Dig all the newspapers. Read what he said to the press. Yes, he was being honest because he wants to forget this whole thing and get on with life. However, he is the first MCA politician who held such a high post to be found out this shameful way. Please be reminded that this VCD was done TWO ( 2 ) years ago. Not on new year's eve 2007. To be fair and square, shouldn't others be found out too ? When you have that kind of position and power, you meet many people if you know what I mean.
Correction, the video was taken few months ago and not 2 years as one anonymous commented.
Everyone makes mistakes, but to ask for forgiveness who be another matter. We can't commit a sin and go into a confession box and thought that it was forgiven. One has to repent his act inorder to be forgiven.
In Dr. Chua's case, he felt no remorse for what had happened. He said his only mistake was using the same room of the same hotel all the time. How many times and how long has the affair been going on? How about his wife and famlily, did they firgure in his mind at all?
If we said it was OK as long as it is his personal business, then tell me how do the school teacher teach the kids? It is OK to commit crimes and even murder as long as you are not been caught? It is ok to put personal pleasure above everything else because that is your business? Morality is pure bullxxxx nowadays?
Come on, don't be so naive, a country's leaders have to know what is wrong from right. If there is a on-going war, wouldn't the enemy use "sleeping dolls" to "neutralize" our leaders? How mant leaders had been "penetrated" or "neutralized" by the Nazi during WW2 using "women"?
For all i care, once he has resigned, who cares what he is planning as long as his family is supporting him.

Does David has this holier-than-thou attitude? Yes, I say.
Give Chua some time. He resigned already. You don't have to shoot him right when he confessed. Yeah, he resigned because of the people's holier-than-thou attitude, and it is people like David Wong which forced him to resign.
Two years ago or 8 months ago or few months ago or last night. He kept it under wraps until now. You mean a politician has to show his or her sexual prowess too ? Then you should change the law and allow polygamy again. Not just for man. But also for woman. A man can have many wives. A woman can have many husbands. I think it is easier to swallow knowing that that is a married spouse; regardless of the position. If this happens, it will strengthen Islam in Malaysia.
Have you heard "Politics is the dirtiest thing on earth."
With power and money, lustand sabotage would follow. Political leaders should know that once you enter the arena, there is no turning back and the rule of the game will be "conspiracy and sabotage".
Of course, David as one of the leaders of DAP in Sarawak knows that he will be regarded just like all the others. He would face the music and would have to be humiliated in the press, the BN would be singing the tune then.
The old proverb "if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen". Dr. Chua can't blame the others, he as a senior politician should know that he is playing with fire as the political arena would "burn" him alive if he is caught. He gambled and he lost, period.
After what Dato Dr Chua did, all Malaysians could assume that all politicians have outside affairs. Myself, I choose to be stupid enough to think that there is still at least one who will keep himself or herself pure. Politics does not have to be dirty. However realistically if politics is not dirty, things will not be what they are today. It's about pleasing everyone. It's about making everybody happy. Development means money. What is exchanged for money ? Dato Dr Chua still have many supporters which mean to say that it is okay to have affairs. But it is immoral. So how can you go around in spiritual places and in the t.v. preaching the holier than thou message ? Please tell Zainuddin Mydin to take away all the prayers and all the preachings from the t.v. and the radio. It is no point praying first thing in the morning but that night you were having fun. It is no point asking for God's blessings when you think God does not see you in that room. No point. Meaningless. If you cannot control yourself, surely there are other ways.
